Did the ussr have aircraft carriers?

The USSR had a few aircraft carriers, but they were all decommissioned by the mid-1990s. The last one, the Kiev-class carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, was sold to China in 1998. The USSR's first aircraft carrier was the Kirov-class battlecruiser Admiral Ushakov, which was launched in 1980 and decommissioned in 1991. The second was the Kiev-class carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, which was launched in 1985 and sold to China in 1998. The third was the Minsk-class carrier Novorossiysk, which was launched in 1988 and decommissioned in 1993. The fourth was the Admiral Nakhimov-class carrier Pyotr Velikiy, which was launched in 1989 and decommissioned in 1996. The USSR's aircraft carriers were never very successful. The Admiral Ushakov was plagued by mechanical problems and spent more time in port than at sea. The Admiral Kuznetsov was also beset by mechanical issues, and its aircraft complement was never very large or effective. The Novorossiysk and Pyotr Velikiy were both decommissioned early due to the collapse of the USSR. Today, Russia does not have any aircraft carriers. The Admiral Kuznetsov is the only carrier in service in the Russian Navy, and it is not currently operational. It is unclear if or when Russia will ever again operate an aircraft carrier.
